Dr Thomas Marks is a Skin Cancer Doctor at The Skin Cancer Centre Coogee.
IDr Thomas Marks commenced his medical education in the United Kingdom, graduating with Distinction from the University of Southampton in 2008. Following the completion of his junior doctor years, he relocated to New Zealand, where he gained substantial experience in both general and orthopaedic surgery.
In 2014, he transitioned to training in general practice, during which time he developed an enduring interest in skin cancer medicine.
To further his expertise, Dr Marks undertook advanced skin cancer training, achieving certificates and subsequently diplomas in dermoscopy and skin cancer medicine and surgery from the esteemed Skin Cancer College of Australasia. In 2017, he attained accreditation as a skin cancer doctor, a testament to his commitment to excellence in this critical field.
Dr. Marks remains dedicated to professional development, regularly attending national and international conferences to stay abreast of the latest advancements in skin cancer treatment. He is actively pursuing the Fellowship of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia, with plans to complete this prestigious qualification in the forthcoming year.
With a comprehensive skill set in skin cancer surgery, Dr Marks employs a range of techniques, including the use of flaps and grafts, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr Tom is an avid cyclist. He is looking forward to exploring WA during his time here. This passion not only promotes his physical fitness but also provides a refreshing balance to his busy career.
Dr Marks will be available Monday and Wednesdays at The Skin Cancer Centre Coogee.
